CEUs for Design Dialogue entitled “Change Makers”, Sep 30th, 2011 approved!
New Mexico Design professionals attending the seventh annual Design Santa Fe 2011 event can earn continuing education credits for attendance at the Design Dialogue held Friday morning, September 30. The New Mexico Interior Design Board has approved .2 CEUs for the event, with certificates available after the program for those who have pre-registered to receive them.
Open to both design professionals and the general public, Design Santa Fe 2011 embraces the theme “Change Makers,” which explores the role of design not only as an aesthetic imperative in our homes and workplaces but also as a force for social change. The panel discussion is moderated by Susan S. Szenasy, editor-in-chief of Metropolis magazine. Also participating are award-winning architect Cameron Sinclair, cofounder of Architecture for Humanity, and Susan Lyons, a noted textile designer specializing in sustainable technologies and materials. The three-hour discussion will be followed by a catered luncheon.

Donation to Youth Shelter from 2010 Event

Design Santa Fe's Heather Van Luchene and Fern Finley hand over the $10,000 donation to Karen Rowell of the Youth Shelter.
Finally the moment we have all been waiting for: Last night Design Santa Fe’s Heather Van Luchene and Fern Finley handed over the donation of $10,000 from the 2010 event to Karen Rowell of the Youth Shelter. This brings the total of our charitable donations to the Youth Shelter over the past 3 years up to $23,779.50. In addition members of Design Santa Fe have volunteered their design expertise to help make the Transitional Living Facility a place where teens want to be!
A big thank you to everybody who helped make this event such a success!
