Santa Fe Interior Designers Present (SFIDP) is pleased to present DESIGN SANTA FE 2009, a three-day event taking place at various venues throughout the City of Santa Fe on October 1-3, 2009.
DESIGN SANTA FE events include a Home Tour, Design Dialogue and Luncheon, and a special "Ride the Train to Great Design" Rail Runner Guided Home Tour; as well as parties and events hosted by local and regional businesses.

OPENING NIGHT PARTY hosted by G. Coles-Christensen Rug Merchants: Thursday, October 1
Design Santa Fe '09 festivities kick off with an Opening Night Party hosted by G. Coles-Christensen at their showroom located at 125 W. San Francisco Street, Santa Fe. Their featured artist for the party is Yuki Murata. Yuki's experience spans multiple cultures and disciplines beginning with her identity as a half-Japanese woman to her product design company working with artisans in Tangshan, China. From fine arts to architecture to tableware to textiles, Yuki has been exploring the significance and intersection of globalization and modernity. The origins of her designs are grounded in her Asian heritage, her love for the natural world and her passion for authentic joyful living.
The artist will discuss design inspiration and process at the event.
DESIGN DIALOGUE AND LUNCHEON: Friday, October 2
SFIDP holds its 5th Annual Design Dialogue at the Farmers Market Building in the Railyard District, Santa Fe. The event takes place on Friday, Oct, 2nd, from 9AM through 12:00 noon and is followed by a catered luncheon. The theme of this year's Design Dialogue is Beauty Collaboration Design. The panel discussion is moderated by Marvin Wilkinson of John Brooks Incorporated, with four speakers: Tom Joyce, Laura Guido-Clark, Andrew Wagner, and Lori Weitzner.

This event will be located at Gebert Contemporary, 544 S. Guadalupe St, Santa Fe, NM.
DESIGN SANTA FE HOME TOUR: Friday and Saturday, October 2 and 3.
On Friday and Saturday, October 2 and 3, SFIDP sponsors their 5th Annual Home Tour. This unique event allows people to peek into custom home interiors created by local designers for their Santa Fe clients.
"RIDE THE TRAIN TO GREAT DESIGN"
RAIL RUNNER GUIDED HOME TOUR: Saturday, October 3
To encourage our design enthusiasts from Albuquerque to experience the Home Tour, DESIGN SANTA FE offers a special Guided Home Tour, in conjunction with the Rail Runner.
On Saturday, October 3, participants are asked to take the Santa Fe Rail Runner train arriving at the Santa Fe Railyard at 11:15am (Train #502), where they are met by a shuttle for a guided tour of this year's homes. Included in this tour is a boxed lunch. Participants arrive back at the Santa Fe Railyard at 4:00PM to catch the 4:30PM train back to Albuquerque (Train #509).
*This special tour is limited to 35 participants, so don't miss this opportunity to ride the train to great design!

Design Santa Fe '09 wraps up its three days with a Closing Night Party at the showroom of MOSS Outdoor at 530 S. Guadalupe Street, Santa Fe.
